Snack Attack: What Your Kids Should Eat

Grab-and-go snacks found in supermarkets today can be quite high in fat, preservatives and calories.

Here’s a quick guide what healthy snack for your kid should be:

  1. Watch out for the label. Snack munchies should contain no more than 200 calories per package. Kids don’t pay attention to servings so parents should be the one taking note of what they’re eating.
  2. Should be low in saturated fat and sodium
  3. Have no more than 30 grams of carbohydrates.
  4. If you can convince your kid to go for a fruit snack, this would be a healthier option.
